2015-16 NBA Midseason Update – Southeast Division

We’re a little more than halfway through the 2015-16 NBA season. It’s the perfect time to check in on every team and look back at our preseason previews to see how we did. Today we look at the Southeast Division.

ATLANTA_HAWKS_LOGOAtlanta Hawks

Current Record: 28-22

Projected Record: 46-36

Preseason Projection: 51-31

Biggest Surprise:

The Hawks lost a key part of their team when forward Demarre Carroll left for Toronto. Kent Bazemore has done a nice job replacing him averaging 12.5 points per game and shooting almost 40% from three.

Biggest Disappointment:

Before the season I though Tiago Splitter was a steal for the Hawks. He hasn’t contributed much this season though.

Current Record: 21-25

Projected Record: 37-45

Preseason Projection: 44-38

Biggest Surprise:

Jared Dudley has started 28 games and shot 46% from three, third in the league and just ahead of Stephen Curry.

Biggest Disappointment:

The whole team is disappointing but Nene has been their most disappointing player. He’s not even getting 20 minutes a game.
