2015-16 NBA Preview – Cleveland Cavaliers

2014-15 Record: 53-29

2014-15 Offense: 103.1 PPG (8th)

2014-15 Defense: 98.7 PPG (13th)

Key Additions: Mo Williams (G)

Key Losses: Shawn Marion (SF), Mike Miller (G/F)

2015-16 Outlook:

The Cavaliers are the favorite to win the championship this season for good reasons. For one, they’re really good. More importantly, they have little competition in their own conference. They made the finals last year and it’s hard to imagine them not making it this year.

Cleveland returns basically the same team from last year. Shawn Marion and Mike Miller have moved on but they didn’t provide much last year anyways. Their only significant outside addition is Mo Williams. The last time Williams was in Cleveland with LeBron he was their second best player. Now he’s probably their ninth best player and anything they can get out of him is a bonus.

The key to this team is health though. Injuries did them in last year. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and Anderson Varejao are all trying to come back from injuries. Iman Shumpert is already hurt and is out three months. We saw last year that LeBron can’t do it alone. He’ll need those guys to be healthy to beat the best from the west.

2015-16 Projected Record: 55-27
