2015-16 Outlook:

You really shouldn’t considered what happened last year when you’re judging this Pacers team. Paul George missed almost the entire season after suffering a gruesome injury playing for Team USA in the summer of 2014. If you forgot, Paul George is one of the ten best players in the NBA when healthy. However, this team is very different from the one that won 56 games two years ago.

Lance Stephenson left two years ago and this offseason saw them lose Roy Hibbert, CJ Watson, David West, and Luis Scola. Paul George and George Hill are the only two key players left from that 2013-14 team.

The big two additions to the team this year are Monta Ellis and Jordan Hill. I really like Hill. I think he can score without needing the ball and he’ll play hard and go after rebounds. I’m not as sold on Ellis. Ellis works best running the pick and roll with a big man who can shoot. Is that going to be Paul George in this offense?

The Pacers will benefit from a full year of Paul George and hopefully better health from George Hill. They lost too many guys to return to contention though. They have a good shot at making the playoffs but they won’t give LeBron the problems they used to.

2015-16 Projected Record: 42-40
