2015-16 Outlook:

The Pelicans, led by the prematurely anointed next great player Anthony Davis, actually made the playoffs last year. They got swept in the first round but still, they made the playoffs. Will Davis lead them even further this year or will they struggle to return to the postseason?

The young Pelicans didn’t lose anyone important from last year’s team. That’s encouraging. They didn’t really add anyone either. Somehow Kendrick Perkins is in the starting lineup but I don’t consider him a big addition. The Pelicans are who they were last year. Hopefully they’re healthier.

Last year the Pelicans had a ton of injuries, even to their superstar Anthony Davis. With a little better injury luck you could easily see this team winning more than fifty games. But the injuries could be even worse. They started the year with seven guys hurt. Maybe the guys they have are always going to be injured. Anthony Davis is truly a marvel. I understand the optimism. He’s not enough though

2015-16 Projected Record: 43-39
