2015-16 Outlook:

The Thunder didn’t even make the playoffs last year. What happened? Well, first Kevin Durant missed most of the year. He’s a good player so that was a tough break. Their other two stars, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka, also missed some time due to injury. Okay then, the injuries are a good excuse. So, with a healthier team this year they should be dangerous, right?

The roster didn’t change much from the end of last season. Really, we should ignore last year though. There’s actually a lot of change since the end of the 2013-14 season. Reggie Jackson, Thabo Sefolosha, and Kendrick Perkins are gone. They’ve added Enes Kanter, Anthony Morrow, Dion Waiters, Kyle Singler, and D.J. Augustin. That looks like a better team than the 2013-14 Thunder. That team won 59 games too.

None of those improvements will matter if their top three guys don’t stay healthy. If none of them get hurt this team should compete for the top record in the NBA. I wouldn’t bet on them staying healthy though. I expect a return to the playoffs but I don’t see 60 wins happening.

2015-16 Projected Record: 54-28
