2015 MLB Season in Review – Baltimore Orioles

Orioles Logo2015 Record: 81-81

Preseason Projection: 88-74

Runs Per Game: 4.40 (9th)

Team ERA: 4.05 (17th)

Run Differential: +20 (13th)

What Went Right:

Manny Machado came back from injury and was one of the best players in baseball. Ubaldo Jimenez was kind of useful. Darren O’Day and Zach Britton made for a great one two punch coming out of the pen.

What Went Wrong:

J.J. Hardy didn’t hit at all. Adam jones was good but he didn’t play like a franchise player. Baltimore really lacked an ace on the pitching staff. The starters weren’t terrible but a couple of them really didn’t contribute at all.

Player to Watch?:

Chris Davis was great again but it was not enough for Baltimore. Davis led baseball in home runs and he’s still an available free agent.

There’s Always Next Year:

Dylan Bundy might be back next year. The O’s still have a good amount of young talent too.

How Did We Do:

We expected a little bit more from Baltimore. They weren’t bad but weren’t a playoff contender.
