2015 MLB Season in Review – Minnesota Twins

MINNESOTA_TWINS_LOGO_22015 Record: 83-79

Preseason Projection: 68-94

Runs Per Game: 4.30 (11th)

Team ERA: 4.07 (19th)

Run Differential: -4 (17th)

What Went Right:

Brian Dozier was good again and even made the All-Star team. Miguel Sano got called up to the majors and was the Twins best hitter. Kyle Gibson and Trevor May are young and were decent.

What Went Wrong:

Danny Valencia had a terrible second season. Byron Buxton didn’t look like a top prospect in his shirt time in the big leagues. Ervin Santana and Phil Hughes were disappointing as the #1 and #2 starters.

Player to Watch?:

Oswaldo Arcia struggled and was sent to AAA. I still think he has a future in Minnesota but last year was not encouraging.

There’s Always Next Year:

Buxton and Sano make for an exciting young duo. If they can just find an ace to lead their pitching staff.

How Did We Do:

The Twins overachieved all year long. They weren’t as good as their record but they were much better than we predicted.
