2015 MLB Season in Review – Washington Nationals

WASHINGTON_NATIONALS_LOGO_22015 Record: 83-79

Preseason Projection: 94-68

Runs Per Game: 4.34 (10th)

Team ERA: 3.62 (7th)

Run Differential: +68 (10th)

What Went Right:

Danny Espinosa was better this year. Max Scherzer was great in his first year with the Nats. Stephen Strasburg looked really good at times.

What Went Wrong:

Jayson Werth was useless. Anthony Rendon missed half the year and wasn’t nearly as good when he did play. The lineup as a whole just wasn’t very good. Jonathan Papelbon was a disaster and tried to choke their star player.

Player to Watch?:

Bryce Harper became a true superstar, winning the NL MVP. He was the best player in baseball, by far too.

There’s Always Next Year:

With Harper and Scherzer, Washington has one of the best hitters and best pitchers to start with. They just need to fill out their roster better.

How Did We Do:

Everyone, including us, picked the Nationals to be one of the top teams in baseball. They ended up being only average.
