2015 Outlook:

The Lions made the playoffs last year.  That’s like winning the Super Bowl in Detroit.  I don’t think they’ll be back this year.  The offense was a disappointment last year and should be better.  There’s no more excuses for Matthew Stafford.  He has two good receivers, Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, to throw to now.  They also used their first two draft picks on offensive players, including their latest attempt at finding their running back of the future, Ameer Abdullah.

However, there’s no way their defense repeats what they did last year.  Yes, they did trade for Haloti Ngata, but they lost Ndamukong Suh and Nik Fairley.  You just can’t replace Suh, who’s one of the best defensive players in the NFL.  Their defense could take a huge step back this year.  The Lions won’t return to their usual terribleness but they’re not really a playoff contender this year either.

2015 Projected Record: 8-8
