There’s no reason to think the Packers won’t have a great offense again. Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, and Eddie Lacy are all huge stars. Even without Jordy Nelson, they still have the talent to put up a bunch of points. The loss of Nelson will just mean more opportunities for Eddie Lacy and second year receiver Davante Adams. Nelson’s injury hurts their Super Bowl chances but it does not eliminate them.
The defense should be solid again this year. The defense might not have a ton of top level talent but they have no big weaknesses either. The line is good, the linebackers can get to the quarterback, and the secondary has some good players including star corner Sam Shields. They did lose some depth in the secondary but they spent their first two picks in the draft on defensive backs. They should be fine. This is still the best team in the division. We might still see them play in February.
