2015 Outlook:

The Chiefs offense, led by Alex Smith, is better than you might think.  They don’t move the ball all that well but they rarely turn the ball over.  Now they’ve finally given Smith a real receiver in Jeremy Maclin.  Is that move going to make all the difference?  Are the Chiefs now going to be a Super Bowl contender?  I still don’t think so.  Even with one of the best running backs in the game, Jamaal Charles, they won’t have a top offense.

The Chiefs defense was great last year.  Look at the results.  They gave up the second least amount of points.  Now they’re getting back Derrick Johnson, Mike DeVito, and Eric Berry.  So they should continue to have an elite defense.  I’m not so sure of that either.

The Chiefs will be decent and there is some reason to think they’ll be better than they were last year but I’m skeptical.  I don’t know what it is about them.  Is it Andy Reid?  Alex Smith?  I don’t think they’re a playoff team.

2015 Projected Record: 8-8
