2015 NFL Preview – Philadelphia Eagles

2014 Offense: 29.6 PTS/G (3rd)

2014 Defense: 25.0 PTS/G (22nd)

Key Additions: Sam Bradford (QB), DeMarco Murray (RB), Kiko Alonso (LB), Ryan Mathews (RB), Byron Maxwell (CB), Brandon Boykin (CB)

Key Losses: LeSean McCoy (RB), Nick Foles (QB), Jeremy Maclin (WR), Bradley Fletcher (CB)

Top Three Draft Picks: Nelson Agholor (WR), Eric Rowe (CB), Jordan Hicks (LB)

2015 Outlook:

The Eagles were a decent team last year finishing only one game out of the playoffs.  Yet they decided to make some big changes this offseason.  Their top skill position players have all been replaced.  Were they upgraded? Probably not.  If Bradford gets hurt they’re left with Marc Sanchez, Matt Barkley, or Tim Tebow at QB.  Please don’t let it come to that.

Defensively, they were a mess last year.  Will they be better?  They overpaid Byron Maxwell to try to improve but they lost their two starting corners from last year.  Second round pick Eric Rowe is expected to be their second starting corner.

2015 Projected Record: 9-7
