The 2016 NBA Finals

The 2016 NBA Finals starts tonight and we have a rematch of last year’s finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to get revenge on the Golden State Warriors. Whether you like it or not, this is the matchup that the world wanted to see. The Cavaliers are the only team in the East with any chance to dethrone the Warriors, but will they do it?

We all know the Warriors are coming off a historic year going 73-9, but in the playoffs they’ve looked a little more mortal. The Cavaliers on the other hand have looked unstoppable in this year’s playoffs. They’re 12-2 and haven’t had a real challenge yet. Granted the Cavaliers are in the Eastern Conference which is significantly weaker than the west, but as a team they look very good. We all know the reason why LeBron came back to Cleveland, and it was to try and get the City it’s first championship since the Browns won the championship in 1964 (3 years before the league brought in the Super Bowl in 1967).

LeBron has looked very motivated thus far and I believe he’s been licking his chops to get revenge on the Warriors. The Warriors did crush the Cavs twice in the season, but we won’t see that happen in the playoffs. The Cavaliers have enough sharp shooters (J.R. Smith, Channing Frye) and a couple others that can at least compete with the amount of 3’s the Warriors will be making. We all know LeBron is going to muscle his way to the hoop every chance he can get, and this time he’ll have Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to help him out.

This will be a great series that should go 6 or 7 games, but this time it’ll be the Cavaliers who hold up the trophy.
