Hopefully you haven’t had your fantasy draft yet. Earlier this week we heard the bad news that the Carolina Panthers Kelvin Benjamin would miss the season after tearing his ACL in practice. Just now we found out that the Green Bay Packer No. 1 receiver, Jordy Nelson, tore his ACL in this morning’s preseason game against the Steelers. This is awful news for the Super Bowl contender.
This is also awful news for Nelson’s fantasy owners. A lot of leagues have been having their draft this weekend. It must be horrible to have to hear this news a day after you drafted him. This is why I think leagues should wait as long as possible to hold their draft. You should wait until at least the third week of preseason games are over. While this news is sad for football fans, it is not surprising. These injuries are incredibly common.
Now how do these injuries affect the Panthers and Packers seasons. We’ll continue to provide you with our 2015 season previews for every team. You can check out the Panthers and Packers previews when we post them soon. So far you can find our previews for the Cowboys and Eagles.
