The biggest club soccer game of the year is this Saturday, June 6th, as Juventus takes on Barcelona in the Champions League final. Barcelona has been considered the most dangerous club team in the world over the past few seasons, but surprisingly they haven’t been to a champions league final since the 2010-2011 season, where they beat Manchester United 3-1. The past 3 champions league finals have been very exciting, in 2012 Chelsea won on penalty kicks, 2013 Robben scored a late goal to give Bayern Munich the cup, then last season a late goal by Sergio Ramos in regulation led to a Real Madrid 4-1 rout in extra time. Unlike the past 3 seasons I don’t see this game coming down to the final minutes of regulations. Barcelona is too strong and with their front 3 of Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi and I don’t see Juventus having an answer for that. Even though it was a very impressive aggregate win that Juventus had over last years champions, Real Madrid, it will take perfect play from them and awful play from Barcelona for them to get the upset. I expect Barcelona to be the ones to lift the cup tomorrow in a score somewhere around 3-1.
