The first college football game is this evening as the Cal Bears take on Hawaii Warriors. There is a catch though, the game is being played in Sydney, Australia! I’m not too sure how the Aussies feel about American Football, and if they don’t feel strongly about it this game isn’t gonna change their minds. BUT what do we care? We’re just happy to see college football back!
Cal will be playing with grad transfer QB Davis Webb, from Texas Tech. He threw 46 touchdowns last season for a Texas Tech team that loved to push the tempo. Apparently their new offensive coordinator Jake Spavital was an understudy of Kliff Kingsbury, who’s Texas Tech offense is what Cal is going to try and mimic this season. With their new quarterback and their fast paced offense I expect Cal to find the end zone against a mediocre Hawaii defense a lot tonight. Especially since they’re playing in a different country both of these teams will be eager to score points. I could see both teams being nervous to start, but at the end I expect this game to go over the total of 67 points.
Tony’s Pick: OVER 67
