College Football Is Back!

The college football season is finally upon us and kicks off this Thursday! Last season’s national champions, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, start off this season #1 and are the favorites to be champions again. Last year was the first time college football tried a four team playoff system and it worked to perfection. The Buckeyes were the #4 seed in the four team playoff knocking out #1 seed Alabama and then #2 seed Oregon in the championship, making it clear that it shouldn’t just be the #1 and #2 seeds facing each other. Ohio State wasn’t even in the top 4 going into the final week of the season, but then a 59-0 win over 13th ranked Wisconsin in the big 10 title game gave them a leap over TCU into the top 4.

Ironically this year TCU starts the season off ranked #2 and will definitely be playing with a chip on their shoulder this season. TCU already expressed how angry they were when they beat Ole Miss 42-3 in their bowl game this past season. This should definitely be another exciting college football season in year two of the new playoff system.
