2015 Outlook: After back to back 90 win seasons the Reds took a big step back in 2014.  This decline was mostly caused by some bad injury luck and a substantial drop off in performance by some of the Reds star players.  The Reds traded away two of their starters and are replacing them with the younger Tony Cingrani and Anthony DeSclafani.  The two new starters join rotation mainstays Johnny Cueto, Homer Bailey, and Mike Leake.

If this team wants to make a serious run they will have to do it with offense though.  Young players like Todd Frazier and Devin Mesoraco did their part but veterans like Jay Bruce and Joey Votto struggled.  If these hitters come back strong Cincinatti could have a very formidable lineup.

Player to Watch: Joey Votto – Votto missed a lot of time last year and when he did play he wasn’t the same.  The former NL MVP is still the Reds best hitter and could have a big comeback season.

2015 Projected Record: 79-83
