MLB Preview – Cleveland Indians

2014 Record: 85-77

Key Additions:

  • Brandon Moss: Outfield
  • Gavin Floyd: Starting pitcher

Key Losses: None

Top Prospects:

  • Francisco Lindor: Short stop, age 21
  • Bradley Zimmer: Outfield, age 22
  • Clint Frazier: Outfield, age 20

2015 Outlook:

Cleveland won 85 games last year and lost no major players. They added Brandon Moss and at some point top prospect Francisco Lindor should join the major league team. Jason Kipnis, Michael Bourn, and Nick Swisher all had bad seasons last year and should be better this year.

The rotation, led by Cy Young winner Corey Kluber, is young but should be good with other young talented pitchers like Danny Salazar and Trevor Bauer.

Player to Watch: Corey Kluber

Kluber was so great for the Indians it is hard to expect him to repeat his 2014 season. If he does the Indians should compete for a championship.

2015 Projected Record: 92-70
