MLB Preview – Injuries

All of the MLB Previews are done.  You can find them here and here.  Since the previews were written there have been a number of injuries.


Cliff Lee – The former Cy Young winner has another elbow injury that will keep him out for most of the season.

Hunter Pence – Pence broke his arm in spring training and will be out until May.

Marcus Stroman – Stroman tore his ACL and is out for the season.

Zack Wheeler – Wheeler will have Tommy John surgery and miss the 2015 season.


Christian Vazquez – The Red Sox catcher had Tommy John Surgery and will miss the whole season.

Melvin Upton – The newly acquired Padre has a foot injury that will keep him out until May.

Gavin Floyd – Floyd had elbow surgery and could miss the entire season.

Tim Collins – Another victim of Tommy John surgery.

Brandon League – League will miss two months with a shoulder injury.

Aaron Crow – The Marlins reliever is yet another victim of Tommy John surgery.

Matt Cain – A forearm injury has kept Cain from making his 2015 debut.  He should be back soon.

Jenrry Meija – Meija had an elbow injury that kept him out before his 80 game suspension.

Yan Gomes – The catcher from our AL champion pick, the Indians, will miss 6-8 weeks with a knee sprain.


Derek Holland – Holland could miss two months with a shoulder strain.
