Key Additions:

  • Michael Cuddyer: Outfield
  • Matt Harvey: Starting Pitcher

Key Losses:

Top Prospects:

  • Steven Matz: Starting Pitcher, age 23
  • Dilson Herrera: Second Base, age 20

2015 Outlook:

The Mets were not terrible last year and didn’t lose anyone important. Plus they signed 2013 NL batting champion Michael Cuddyer and they’re getting Matt Harvey back from injury. Young players like Wilmer Flores, Jacob deGrom, and Zack Wheeler should improve. All signs point towards a better year. If they want to make the playoffs though, their veterans like Wright and Granderson will have to hit and the young pitchers will have to be good.

Player to Watch: David Wright

Wright is the leader of this team and its best position player. Coming off his worst season, Wright will have to have a bounce back year for the Mets to succeed.
