NBA Playoff Preview – Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics

Season Series: 2-2

When Lebron came back to Cleveland they were instantly favored to win the championship and a no-brainer to get the #1 seed in the east. Well the  #1 seed went to the Hawks but we think this works out better for Cleveland.

This was supposed to be another rebuilding season for the Celtics, but they dealt away Rondo early in the season to add a few young players and then at the trade deadline got Isaiah Thomas from the Suns, who currently leads the Celtics with 16.4 PPG.  Coach Brad Stevens has done a great job getting a random collection of players thrown together to play well.  They’re made a great run during the second half of the season just to reach the playoffs.

The season series between these two teams was a split at 2-2, but unfortunately for Celtics fans that won’t be the case in this series.  The Celtics just aren’t that good and Lebron takes care of business in the first round.

Key Matchup: Lebron James vs J.R. Smith

Will Lebron be able to manage J.R. Smith?  Will J.R. shoot the Cavaliers out of a key game?  LeBron James is going to have to keep J.R. Smith sane.

Series Prediction: Cavaliers in 4 games
