NFL Power Rankings – Week 4

The first quarter of the NFL season is in the books. How do all the teams measure up?

  1. New England Patriots (3-1)

The Patriots are coming off of a 16-0 loss at home, but now Tom Brady is coming back. The Patriots played extremely well for the first 3 games without Brady so it’s scary to think what they’ll do now that he’s back. With Gronk getting healthy too,¬†this Patriots team could be #1 in our rankings for a long time.

  2. Denver Broncos (4-0)

  3. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)

  4. Minnesota Vikings (4-0)

  5. Seattle Seahawks (3-1)

  6. Atlanta Falcons (3-1)

  7. Green Bay Packers (2-1)

  8. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

  9. Dallas Cowboys (3-1)

  10. Oakland Raiders (3-1)

  11. Carolina Panthers (1-3)

  12. Cincinnati Bengals (2-2)

  13. Arizona Cardinals (1-3)

  14. Houston Texans (3-1)

  15. Kansas City Chiefs (2-2)

  16. Los Angeles Rams (3-1)

  17. Baltimore Ravens (3-1)

  18. Buffalo Bills (2-2)

The Bill should have some confidence now coming off of an impressive 16-0 victory in New England. LeSean McCoy has looked pretty good this year and so has Tyrod Taylor. The Bills are still a few seasons away though from having any relevance in the NFL. So even though the Bills kicked the Patriot’s ass this past weekend, don’t expect much more greatness from them this season.

  19. Washington Redskins (2-2)

  20. New York Giants (2-2)

  21. New York Jets (1-3)

The New York Jets are 1-3 to start the season but in their defense they’ve had a pretty tough schedule with losses to New England, Kansas City, and Seattle. This definitely isn’t the same Fitzpatrick as last season though as he’s thrown 9 interceptions in the past two games. And if he’s going to continue to play poorly¬†then the Jets have absolutely no chance to do anything this season. So, sorry Jets fans but I don’t see things getting better for you guys this season.

  22. Indianapolis Colts (1-3)

  23. Detroit Lions (1-3)

  24. San Diego Chargers (1-3)

  25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3)

  26. Miami Dolphins (1-3)

The Dolphins are off to a 1-3 start but they’ve also had a tough schedule to start the season. They’ve had losses to Seattle, Cincinnati, and New England. The Dolphins got beat up by the Bengals this last week but they played the Patriots and Seahawks well. It doesn’t help their resume this year when you see that their only win was against an 0-4 Cleveland Browns team though. The Dolphins have a promising defense and have promising offensive playmakers but for whatever reason they just can’t get it together. It looks like the struggles for the Dolphins and their fans is going to continue this season.

  27. New Orleans Saints (1-3)

  28. Chicago Bears (1-3)

  29. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3)

  30. San Francisco 49ers (1-3)

  31. Tennessee Titans (1-3)

  32. Cleveland Browns (0-4)

Thursday Pick

This is a tough one to pick. The cardinals are struggling at 1-3 and they will be without their starting quarterback. On the other hand, they’re facing the 49ers who are truly terrible. I think Arizona still has enough weapons to make Drew Stanton look okay and the defense is strong enough to hold the Niners under twenty.

The Pick: Cardinals -3.5
