NFL Power Rankings – Week 4

Week 4. Most teams are a quarter of the way finished with the season. The puzzle that is the NFL season is starting to come together.

Week 4 Power Rankings

  1. New England Patriots (3-0)

  2. Green Bay Packers (4-0)

  3. Denver Broncos (4-0)

  4. Cincinnati Bengals (4-0)

  5. Seattle Seahawks (2-2)

  6. Atlanta Falcons (4-0)JULIO_JONES_FALCONS

The Falcons may be the league’s most surprising team. They’re 4-0 and they’ve looked good winning those games too, especially these last two games. We knew Julio Jones was great but Devonta Freeman has been a fantasy monster these last couple weeks in the starting role. The offense is legit but there are still many questions on defense which is why we are hesitant to put them in the top five.

  7. Arizona Cardinals (3-1)

  8. Carolina Panthers (4-0)

  9. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2)

  10. New York Jets (3-1)

  11. Buffalo Bills (2-2)

  12. Minnesota Vikings (2-2)

  13. Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)

  14. New York Giants (2-2)

  15. San Diego Chargers (2-2)

  16. Indianapolis Colts (2-2)

  17. St. Louis Rams (2-2)

  18. Oakland Raiders (2-2)KHALIL_MACK_RAIDERS

The Raiders are off to a better start than most would think at 2-2. The defense is still a problem, even with last year’s number one pick Khalil Mack. The offense though has shown a lot of promise with young weapons Derek Carr, Latavius Murray, and Amari Cooper. They’re still the Raiders though and blew a great opportunity to get to 3-1 by losing to the last place Bears on a last second field goal.

  19. Dallas Cowboys (2-2)

  20. Baltimore Ravens (1-3)RAVENS_VS_STEELERS

We expected better from the Ravens but they’re currently only 1-3. Their only win came against the Steelers who were without their starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and were forced to go to a washed up Michael Vick. And they should have lost too. They may not be as bad as their record, their three losses were in close games, but they are definitely not as good as they were last year. They really miss Terrell Suggs.

  21. Philadelphia Eagles (1-3)

  22. Washington Redskins (2-2)

  23. Detroit Lions (0-4)CALVIN_JOHNSON_FUMBLE

The Lions are the only winless team in the NFL but that doesn’t mean they’re the worst team in the league. They just lost a close game in Seattle due to a blown call. Calvin Johnson never should have fumbled but still. What a mess for the NFL. The Lions still have a solid roster but they have to start winning now if they want to have any chance at a meaningful season. It just may be one of those seasons for the Lions and the consolation prize will be a nice draft pick.

  24. Cleveland Browns (1-3)

  25. Tennessee Titans (1-2)

  26. Miami Dolphins (1-3)

  27. San Francisco 49ers (1-3)

  28. New Orleans Saints (1-3)

  29. Houston Texans (1-3)

  30. Chicago Bears (1-3)

  31. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3)

  32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3)

Tony’s Thursday Night Pick

After a game off Andrew Luck is expected to be back for tonight’s game in Houston. Luck has won four consecutive games against Houston so that’s good news for the Colts. Indianapolis has been a disappointment but Houston has been even worse. They got totally embarrassed last week and don’t know who their quarterback is. Andrew Luck will turn it around but I don’t think the Texans will.

Update: Hasselbeck will start in place of Luck. Ignore our pick.

The Pick: Colts +2
