We’re heading into the second week of the NCAA season. Here’s our top picks for this week’s slate of games.
Western Kentucky Vs Alabama
Alabama just got done absolutely EMBARRASSING USC, winning by nearly 50 points. I don’t see things being any different this upcoming week. Western Kentucky is nowhere near the same ball park as Alabama. This should be a score somewhere around 59-10. Take Alabama this week for another slaughter.
Tony’s Pick: Alabama -29.5
Louisiana Monroe Vs Oklahoma
Oklahoma is coming off an upset loss this past weekend so you better believe they’ll want blood this upcoming week. They still have one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Baker Mayfield, and you can expect him to have a hell of a game this week. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Oklahoma score 60+ points in this game. Oklahoma’s defense also didn’t look that great this past weekend, so I expect Louisiana Monroe to be able to find the end zone a couple times. With all of this said, expect some points in this one.
Tony’s Pick: OVER 65
California Vs San Diego State
California will be well rested for this one as they haven’t played since August 27th. Cal also has a new quarterback who looked very good in their first game. Cal’s new offensive coordinator said he wanted to move the ball quicker this year, and thats what they did vs Hawaii scoring 51 points. I expect their offense to be enough to keep this game close vs San Diego State.
Tony’s Pick: California +7
Central Florida Vs Michigan
Michigan is on a mission this year. They were pretty good last season but this season they want to be GREAT. They expect to be in the playoffs this year, and the way they played vs Hawaii this early in the season tells me they might do so. They showed no mercy vs Hawaii, as they put up 63 points. I don’t expect them to slow down vs Central Florida either. Unlike Hawaii, Central Florida should be able to find the end zone once or twice. 36 is a lot of points for a spread, so we’re going to take the safe route and take the over.
Tony’s Take: OVER 54.5
Maryland Vs Florida International
This is a matchup of a big 10 school vs a low end division, need I say more? Florida International just got their asses kicked by Indiana, which means Maryland will do the same. This spread is only 10 points and that’s way too low. Maryland could easily win this game by 20+ points, and I think they will. Don’t hesitate on this one and take Maryland for the easy double digit victory.
