Tony’s NFL Picks – Week 12

Carolina Panthers Vs New Orleans Saints

Who would’ve though that going into week 12 the Panthers would be the only undefeated team left in the NFL? Looking on paper you would expect the 11-0 Panthers to dominate the 4-7 Saints, but that won’t be the case. Even though the Saints won’t make the playoffs they’d love to be the first team to knock off the Panthers this season. This is pretty much like the Saints Super Bowl for this season. Anytime Drew Brees is getting points at home, I’m intrigued.

Tony’s Pick: Saints +7

Houston Texans Vs Buffalo Bills

The Houston Texans have looked good over these past couple weeks and find themselves tied in the division lead, and currently hold the final wild card spot in the AFC. The Buffalo Bills are one of the teams that have a shot at making the playoffs, but basically have to win the rest of their games. I believe that at home in a game they NEED to win the Bills will get the job done. They understand that if they lose their season is pretty much over and Rex Ryan will have his guys ready for the task. Even with this win I don’t think the Bills will make the playoffs, but they’ll keep their hopes alive this Sunday.

Tony’s Pick: Bills -3

Philadelphia Eagles Vs New England Patriots

Even though all of Brady’s top receivers are out he’ll be fine, I mean, as long as you have hands he’ll get you the ball. The Eagles despite being terrible are somehow in the playoff hunt, but that’s the luck of being in the worst division in football. This is a game that you would expect to see a lot of offense but with some key players out the line is a couple points lower than I would’ve thought. I would hate the be the team that has to play Tom Brady after a loss, the guy just doesn’t lose two games in a row. I expect him to go off with one of those vintage 3 or 4 touchdown Brady type games. The Eagles offense is good enough to find the end zone a couple times also. Ultimately though I wouldn’t be surprised if the Patriots put up over 40 points themselves.

Tony’s Pick: OVER 49
