It’s week 3 of the NFL season already. Here’s our daily fantasy picks for the week.
Big Cost, Big Points – Russell Wilson (SEA)
After two tough matchups, Wilson finally gets to face a bad team. And the Bears might be the worst. Seattle should be able to put up a lot of points.
Value Play – Nick Foles (STL)
Foles faces a Steelers team that can score like crazy. That means his team will likely be behind and forced to throw the ball. Good thing for Foles, the Steelers defense isn’t all that good.
Others – Andrew Luck (IND)
Luck faces a bad team in Tennessee and he’ll want to show everyone that he’s still a great QB after a rough start to the season. Taylor is still cheap and has showed he can put up some decent fantasy points.
Big Cost, Big Points – Leveon Bell (PIT)
Leveon Bell is finally back. We said earlier we expect the Steelers to go up big on the Rams which will mean more touches for Bell.
Value Play – Devonta Freeman (ATL)
Freeman will get the start for Atlanta with Tevin Coleman hurt. He’s still priced like a back up.
Others – Adrian Peterson (MIN), James Starks (GB)
Peterson looked good last week and faces a below average Chargers run defense. If Lacy is hurt, Starks will start for the Packers and is priced at the minimum.
Big Cost, Big Points – Demaryius Thomas (DEN)
The last time we saw the Broncos offense, Thomas was dominating like he’s done the last two seasons. I expect to see more of that this week against the Lions.
Value Play – Donte Moncrief (IND)
Moncrief was impressive last Monday night. He’s Luck’s second receiver now and we said we like Luck this week.
Others – Brandon Marshall (NYJ), DeAndre Hopkins (HOU)
Marshall is the clear number one target for the Jets if Decker doesn’t play. The Eagles defense hasn’t been great and the team plays quick which means a lot of opportunity for Marshall. Hopkins has a nice matchup this week against the Bucs.
Big Cost, Big Points – Rob Gronkowski (NE)
I don’t expect a huge game from Gronkowsi but he’s just so consistent. It would be a surprise if he doesn’t score.
Value Play – Jared Cook (STL)
We already talked about why we like Foles. The Steelers best coverage linebacker, Ryan Shazier, is hurt. Cook should be able to do some damage in the middle of the field.
Others – Richard Rodgers (GB)
Rodgers is valuable because of that other guy named Rodgers. He continues to get targets and is still priced at the minimum.
Big Cost, Big Points – Seahawks
Seattle gets Kam Chancellor back and gets to face Jimmy Clausen filling in for Jay Cutler. Expect multiple turnovers and less than 14 points scored for the Bears.
Value Play – Packers
The Packers are playing Alex Smith which usually means no interceptions. They should hold the chiefs to few points and could get lucky and force a turnover. Their price isn’t very high.
Others – Texans
The Texans have Jadeveon Clowney and JJ Watt. The Bucs have a bad offensive line. There could be a lot of mistakes made by Tampa’s rookie QB.
